Christopher C. Sorley, B.A. (Hons.), LL. B.

Christopher C. Sorley, with over 20 years of trial experience, is a leading family law practitioner with particular expertise in complex property issues arising out of matrimonial breakdowns.

Christopher’s practice includes the negotiation and finalization of domestic contracts (marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements and parenting agreements), child-related issues (custody, access and support), spousal support, property division including unjust enrichment claims and divorce.

In addition to family law, Christopher’s practice includes the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney and estate administration.

Christopher graduated with a B.A. (Honours) in Law in 1986, an LL. B. from the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in 1989 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1991.

Christopher is a life-long Aurora resident whose commitment to the betterment of his community is evidenced by his having served as a member of Aurora Town Council and as a Director of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.

Christopher is past Chair of the Ontario Legal Aid Area Appeal Committee and is a former member of the Attorney General of Ontario’s policy advisory committee.
